Welcome to Agarita Ranch!

Agarita Ranch has the feel of an old Western town, but with a few modern conveniences. The shooting activities take place in the mist of a Western town, comprised of a livery stable, a blacksmith shop, a marshal’s office, a bathhouse, a hotel/saloon, a general store and a church that will accommodate approximately 100 people. The shooting scenarios (livery stable, general store, blacksmith shop, marshal’s office, bath house and 2 corrals) are full sized and furnished to reflect a feel of the old West. The marshal’s office even has a jail cell and the hotel has two rooms, with baths, over the saloon. A nearby covered pavilion has 3600 square feet with bathrooms and a functional kitchen. Single action shooting events occur the first Saturday of every month. Safety instructions begin at 9 AM on the days of the shoots.

The carriage events take place on miles of trails with hazards (obstacles) interspersed throughout the 130 acres of wooded landscape. Combined driving events test the abilities of both the driver and the horses. Events are usually three days in duration. Currently, the livery stable and the blacksmith shop will stall 24 horses. Soon, another building will stall another 8 horses.

The white clapboard church was a labor of love, combining the old and the new. It looks like an old white clapboard church with a bell that is wonderful to ring and to hear. The 80-plus year-old oak pews came from an old Catholic church in New Jersey, and the stained glass window came from an old mansion in San Antonio. The wood trim is reminiscent of many old buildings in which you see crown molding and wooden baseboards.

Throughout Agarita Ranch are beautiful wooded areas fit for an outdoor wedding or picnic. This land is calming and serene. Sitting on the porches in the myriad of rocking chairs can make you sorry to have to leave. Chuck and Nancy Leshikar welcome you to Agarita Ranch.
